Lizard, Carl Fabergé, 1896-1908

<

An important silver study of a lizard by Carl Fabergé, the highly naturalistic representation of a lizard modelled eating a bramble leaf.

Provenance

Fabergé, Moscow, 1896-1908, inventory number: 13919.

19.8 cm in length

The lizard and leaf have been cast from lost waxes and then chased by hand, the waxes were destroyed in the making of the study and it is therefore unique.
