An unusual coloured gold mounted and enamelled desk clock by Carl Fabergé,
designed to lie flat on a desk , of octagonal form, enamelled translucent lilac over a sunburst guillochage, the eight sections divided by finely chased sprigs of laurel suspended from laurel festoons tied wit hred gold ribbons and secured with rose diamonds, the top centred by a circular opaque white enamel dial with painted black enamel Arabic numerals and openwork gold hands, encircled by a bezel of gold laurels, edged with silver gilt tied reeds and stood on four gadrooned bun feet
