its tapering and gently articulated stem set with rose diamonds, each petal mounted with an old brilliant cut diamond, set in silver and mounted on yellow gold.

French, late 19th century, 9.3 cm in length.


Delicate floral silhouette brooches of this type were typical of the work of the master jeweller Octave Loeuillard for Boucheron.
