An Imperial Carved Agate Bonbonniere by Carl Fabergé

in the form of a quince, carved in a mottled and delicately striated brown agate which mimics the caramel colour of a candied quince, the rim of the lid decorated with a single row of rose cut diamonds mounted in gold, the thumbpiece denoted by a cabochon emerald, the dimple at the top of the fruit set with a single old mine cut diamond.
