An Art Deco emerald and diamond brooch

the top section centred with a sugarloaf emerald from which radiates an openwork fan shaped motif that supports three arched rows of diamonds which cascade to its side, the articulated tassels of graduated heights set with diamonds highlighted with occasional rectangular-cut emeralds, the two longest terminated with baguette diamonds. A removable brooch fitting to the reverse and a retractable loop allows the jewel to be worn as a pendant.

The sense of movement is cleverly achieved in the curled motifs that rise and fall, creating graceful symmetry to the design that continues to flow in the articulated tassels.
