At the Pan-Russian Industrial Exhibition of 1882, which was hosted in Moscow, Carl Fabergé exhibited a display of archaeological-style jewellery, based on ancient Roman and Greek jewellery in the Hermitage. A comparable torque bracelet can be found in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum (M.170-1976).
