A match-striker by Carl Fabergé

<

The match-striker’s sandstone body mounted in silver in the form of a heavy set anthropomorphised toad, with one hand on its hip, the other holding its knee and looking upwards forlornly.

The matches are taken from a cavity in his back and struck against his sandstone body in order to light them.
