Brooch, Paul Robin, c.1890

Tiger's eye, diamonds and gold

<

This form is illustrated in Henri Vever’s book ‘French Jewellery of the Nineteenth Century’, page 1014.  It is an unusual example, as it incorporates a diamond surround to the cabochon Tiger’s eye stones, as well as small rose diamonds applied to the brow of the owl.
