A Jewelled and Enamelled Gold Bracelet by Falize,

Paris, c.1880


Representing the word ‘REMEMBER’ in medieval script, alternating matt and polished yellow  gold, the first letter surmounting the clasp set with rose diamonds against a blue ground, the other letters formed from translucent vivid red enamel against an opaque cream ground simulating illuminated script on vellum, the lettering and concluding panels decorated with poly-chrome enamelled flowers representing love. The reverse with blue counter-enamelling.
