The Winter Egg

The legendary Winter Egg has returned to Wartski, one hundred years after Emmanuel Snowman first brought it to us from Bolshevik Russia. The Winter Egg was bought by Wartski at auction on 2nd December 2025 for £22,900, 000.

Given by Nicholas II Emperor and Autocrat of all the Russias to his mother the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna for Easter 1913.

Designed by Alma Pihl and made by Fabergé’s chief jeweller Albert Holmström.
